What's going on in:
San Diego
&
Aguascalientes
There is a lot going on and I want to keep you all informed with the highlights of each month. Thank you to all who pray for and support these ministries. We are able to bless so many people and we couldn't do it without you. To God be all the glory. Gracias amigos!

2025 got off to a slow start but I was able to finish strong this January. It was nice to relax and take a lil break after New Years. But after getting some rest it was time to get back to work. I'm excited for all that this year will bring!

The youth ministry is off to a good start this year. We are continuing to go through the gospel of Mark and I have been finding interactive ways to teach the kids. I brought in a bunch of props when I taught on the parable of the sower. "Farmer Bob" (me in a cowboy hat) planted seeds and explained how some seeds bear fruit while others never make it through their process. The sun can scorch them (I used fire and WD-40 to represent this) or others can get caught in the thorns (I used silly string to represent that...it was a lil work picking it all up after the lesson). Jesus taught us how we must bear fruit in our spiritual lives.
I also taught how Jesus calmed the sea. To represent the wind & waves, I brought in a leaf blower and sprayed them with water. The leaf blower was pretty powerful and blew a girl's hair all over the place. She was pretty startled by it. Afterwards I apologized for scaring her and she laughed. The other kids told me it was really funny so I guess it was a success. I hope they don't forget that lesson - how Jesus is always with us in the storms and we should always turn to Him no matter what we are going through.
I was asked by Point Loma Nazarene University to lead a team of college students on a missions trip. Their "LoveWorks" program has many missions trips every summer to expose students to the mission field. I was chosen to go to the Philippines. I'm excited because I was a missionary there for a year in the past and I look forward to going back and serving again. We started our training/team building this month and will go on our trip in May.

We celebrated my niece's 3rd birthday. She is growing up so fast! My parents and I drove up to Los Angeles and spent the day with my brother and his family. We went out for ice cream and I got to play with my nephews. It's always a blessing to spend time with the family!
Elvira, one of my girls, started working with Chevon. She is on break from medical school so I set her up with a job. I talked to the head nurse and asked if she had any openings and could give Elvira some shifts. It's great that she gets some hands-on experience taking care of patients. Now all of her studying will become more practical.

I flew down to Aguascalientes on Jan 29th. I love it down here and it's nice to be back. I have lots of things to do so I will have a busy trip.
And we finally celebrated Ariana's birthday. Her birthday is on December 26th, but since I was in the US we weren't able to do it...better late than never! She always comes up with unique ideas and this year she wanted to go to a place where you can smash things. They call it a "stress room" where you can let it all out. We just had fun breaking things. An old television, a microwave, a stereo and more. It was a good time. Afterwards we went out to dinner with some friends and had a good time celebrating her life. Happy 22nd birthday Ariana!
